Dan Bongino Sounds Alarm Over Massive Spy Network Targeting U.S. Military

In a stunning revelation that feels ripped from the pages of a political thriller, former Secret Service agent and now FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino has revealed the details of what he calls one of the most brazen espionage operations in recent memory — and it’s unfolding in American cities coast to coast.

Bongino announced the arrest of 51 individuals across eight major U.S. cities, as federal agents executed synchronized raids tied to a sweeping counterintelligence investigation. The alleged operation, he claims, was orchestrated by agents linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and aimed directly at the heart of America’s defense — the U.S. military.

“This is more than espionage. This is a covert campaign to infiltrate and corrupt our armed forces from within,” Bongino said during a briefing shared on the FBI’s official communication channel.

According to internal sources, the CCP-linked network allegedly attempted to manipulate U.S. military personnel through a combination of bribery, blackmail, and cyber surveillance. Investigators believe the targets included individuals with access to sensitive military data — particularly in fields related to biotechnology and advanced weapons systems.

The coordinated sting operation involved raids in cities such as San Diego, Houston, Seattle, and Norfolk, uncovering evidence that includes encrypted communication devices, large cash transfers, and forged documents. Some of the seized material reportedly referenced classified programs involving U.S. biodefense infrastructure and emerging weapons technologies.

What makes this case especially alarming, Bongino noted, is not only the number of suspects involved but the focus on active service members and veterans. “It’s not just about stealing information — it’s about turning American patriots into assets for a foreign regime,” he warned.

Espionage threats from China have long been a concern for U.S. intelligence agencies, but Bongino says this case marks an escalation. Unlike prior efforts focused on corporate or academic theft, this operation allegedly aimed to disrupt national defense from within.

As investigations continue and more arrests are expected, officials urge the public and military communities to remain vigilant. “This isn’t happening overseas. It’s happening here — in our neighborhoods, on our bases, in our cities,” Bongino said.

The FBI has yet to release full details, but the implications are clear: America’s defense secrets are under siege — and the battlefront may be far closer than most realize.
