TV Personality Who Slept With Over 700 Men Opens Up About Her Journey to 15 Months of Celibacy

An Australian reality TV star who once admitted to sleeping with more than 700 men has revealed she’s been abstinent for over a year while confronting what she calls her “sex addiction.”

Belinda “Love” Rygier, known for her appearance on The Bachelor Australia in 2017, went viral after candidly discussing the period in her life when she was going out as many as six nights a week in search of sexual encounters.

Now 38, Belinda says those years were part of a larger struggle she didn’t initially recognize. Eventually, she entered a recovery program, realizing that her compulsive behavior stemmed from deeper issues.

“Back then, I didn’t see it as a problem. I was high-functioning—I had a great career, and on the surface, no one would have guessed,” she shared in a 2022 interview on the You’re a Grub Mate! radio show. “But when I started to heal, I understood it was linked to unaddressed trauma and unhealthy relationship patterns.”

Belinda estimates her “body count” at 700, though she admits she lost track over the years. Far from feeling embarrassed, she says acknowledging it was a crucial step in recovery.

“Men were very good at telling me exactly what I wanted to hear. It wasn’t really about the sex—it was about feeling loved, attractive, and validated,” she explained.

These days, the former TV star turned relationship coach has embraced celibacy, marking 15 months without intimacy. She believes society has lost sight of sex’s true value.

“Sex has become about quick validation instead of deep connection,” she said. “I will have sex again, but only when I meet someone I genuinely connect with.”

Belinda’s story has sparked conversation about the pressures of modern dating, the impact of unresolved trauma, and how self-awareness can change a person’s relationship with intimacy.
