He took a bath in a trough and weighed 845 pounds. You won’t believe how he now looks.

He was compelled to bathe in an outdoor trough since his physical condition had declined to the point that he could no longer use a conventional restroom and his daily routine left little room for hope.

Casey thought he had reached his lowest point after being asked to leave his mother’s home because he couldn’t find employment. It was obvious that something significant needed to change because of his growing weight and loneliness.

A vertical sleeve gastrectomy, a weight-loss procedure that was the pivotal moment in his life, was that change. Casey initially lost seventy pounds after the operation. More impressively, though, he continued to lose weight by completely changing his daily routine and way of life, eventually shedding 600 pounds.

Casey’s weight decreased to 245 pounds by 2023. He discussed his physical and emotional metamorphosis in a touching update on the Truly series Brand New Me. In addition to inspiring multitudes, his tale served as a reminder that, despite seemingly insurmountable obstacles, genuine change is achievable.

A Life-Changing Journey Begins

Casey, an American man, initially lost 200 pounds with the help of the show. But his journey didn’t stop there. Determined to keep going, he faced a new set of challenges that few people consider when picturing such a dramatic weight loss.

The Unexpected Side Effects of Massive Weight Loss

After reaching his weight-loss goal, Casey was stunned by what he saw in the mirror. The dramatic drop in weight had left him with excess skin and deep wrinkles that made him look much older. It was a harsh contrast to how he imagined he would feel after achieving such success.

Still, Casey remained proud of how far he’d come. Instead of feeling discouraged, he set his next goal: undergoing surgery to remove the excess skin so he could fully embrace his new life.

“I plan to undergo surgery to remove the excess skin and feel like myself again,” Casey said.
