Vice President JD Vance and Usha Vance Announce They’re Expecting Baby No. 4 — A New Chapter for the Growing Family
Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance shared joyful news on Tuesday, announcing that they are expecting their fourth child together. The couple revealed that the newest addition to their family will be a baby boy.
In a statement posted to social media, the Vances said that both Usha and the baby are healthy and doing well. They added that the family is eagerly anticipating his arrival in late July.

“During this exciting and busy chapter of our lives, we are especially thankful for the dedicated military doctors who provide outstanding care for our family,” the statement read. “We are also deeply grateful to the staff members who make it possible for us to serve our country while still enjoying a full and meaningful family life.”
The announcement was quickly met with celebration from across Washington. The White House amplified the news by reposting the statement, calling the moment further proof of “the most pro-family administration in history” and offering warm congratulations to the Vance family.

Several political figures also shared their support and well wishes. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum congratulated the couple, writing that there is “no greater joy than being a parent” and praising the administration’s focus on family values. Rep. Troy Nehls of Texas and others echoed similar sentiments, flooding social media with messages of congratulations.
JD and Usha Vance’s story began at Yale Law School, where they met before marrying in 2014. Usha Vance went on to build an impressive legal career, clerking for Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and later working as a litigator at the prestigious firm Munger, Tolles & Olson.

She stepped away from private practice when JD Vance was selected as President Donald Trump’s running mate, transitioning into her role as Second Lady.
Photos from recent public appearances show the couple sharing affectionate, genuine moments—smiling, embracing, and clearly excited about the next chapter for their growing family. The images underscore what their announcement conveys: beyond politics and public life, this is a deeply personal moment centered on love, family, and new beginnings.

As they prepare to welcome their fourth child, the Vances are being celebrated not just as national leaders, but as parents embracing another milestone together.
