Riley Green Confirms First Television Acting Role

Country singer and songwriter Riley Green is adding a new title to his résumé — actor. In a recent conversation, the “Don’t Mind If I Do” singer confirmed that he has officially completed his first television acting role, marking a new chapter outside of music.

While Green kept specific details under wraps, he shared that the project is already filmed and will be airing in the near future.

“I think I’m allowed to say that I’ve done some acting,” Green said cautiously. “It’s a show, and it should be coming out fairly soon.”

Aside from appearances in music videos and commercials, the Alabama native is still new to acting. However, he said the experience felt far less intimidating than expected — largely because he already knew several people working on set.

“It makes a huge difference when you feel comfortable,” Green explained. “As soon as I got there, I did. Everything happened so fast that I didn’t really have time to get nervous. The scene was over before I knew it, and I thought, ‘Well, I guess that went okay.’ Nobody yelled at me or anything, so I figured it must’ve been fine.”

According to Green, the acting itself wasn’t the biggest challenge — scheduling was. Balancing filming with his busy touring calendar required constant travel.

“That part was tough,” he said. “I was still playing shows every weekend, flying out, flying back, then flying out again. That was the hardest part. But once I was on set and in that headspace, it actually felt pretty natural.”

While this marks his first official television role, Green isn’t completely unfamiliar with being on camera. Longtime fans may remember that he competed on Season 4 of CMT’s Redneck Island in 2014. The reality series featured contestants living on a remote island and competing in various challenges.

Green ultimately won his season, taking home the $100,000 grand prize — an early moment that hinted at his comfort in front of an audience long before his rise in country music.

With a successful music career and now a television debut on the horizon, Riley Green continues to expand his creative reach — one project at a time.
