Denise Richards’ Husband Files for Divorce, Citing Differences After Helping with Her OnlyFans Success
After six years of marriage, Denise Richards and her husband Aaron Phypers are officially calling it quits. The split, attributed to “irreconcilable differences,” comes not long after Richards publicly shared that Phypers had played a hands-on role in her highly lucrative OnlyFans career.
Phypers, 49, submitted the divorce papers on Monday, July 7, at a Los Angeles courthouse. According to documents obtained by Page Six, the couple listed July 4 as their official separation date.
In his court filing, Phypers—who previously ran a wellness company before shutting it down—has requested spousal support, stating that he currently has no income. He also disclosed the couple’s high monthly living expenses, totaling an estimated $105,000. The breakdown includes $20,000 for clothing, $18,000 in rent, $10,000 for food, $8,000 for utilities, and $15,000 each for dining out and entertainment, as reported by Fox News Digital.
The documents claim that Richards, 54, earns over $250,000 a month, with the majority coming from her OnlyFans content, reality TV appearances, and brand endorsements. Phypers is also seeking a 50/50 division of their joint venture, Smoke & Mirrors Entertainment.
While the pair does not share any minor children, Phypers had previously begun the process of adopting Richards’ daughter Eloise Joni, whom she adopted in 2011. Eloise, now 13, has two older half-sisters—21-year-old Sami and 20-year-old Lola—whom Richards shares with ex-husband Charlie Sheen. Richards and Sheen were married from 2002 until 2006.
The divorce filing comes just months after Richards praised Phypers during an episode of her reality series, Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, which aired on March 25. She credited him for helping her thrive on the content-sharing platform.
“I’m actually in the top 1% of creators on OnlyFans, and I’m so thankful for that,” Richards said in a People interview. “At my age, it feels incredibly empowering that people are still interested in seeing me like that.”
She also noted that Phypers was instrumental in helping her choose the best images to post. “He knows what men want to see. He’ll go through my photos and give feedback—‘Use this one. Try this look.’ He’s been so supportive.”
Richards joined OnlyFans in 2022 after being inspired by her daughter Sami, who was already on the platform. Initially concerned it might damage her career, Richards instead experienced a boost in opportunities.
“I was afraid it would close doors for me,” she said, “but it’s actually opened more. I’ve been cast in roles where I’m the sexy wife, or the glamorous woman.”
Richards continues to land new projects. Her IMDb page lists multiple upcoming appearances, including the film A Walking Miracle with Mickey Rourke and both Baldwin brothers, William and Daniel. She’s also set to appear in the TV drama Second Chances and a film titled Dirty Hands, directed by Kevin Interdonato.
