Donna D’Errico Fires Back at Critics Over Her Bikini Photos
Former Baywatch star Donna D’Errico isn’t letting online trolls dictate what she wears—or how she shares her life online. At 57, the actress and former Playboy Playmate is still flaunting her figure with confidence, and she has a sharp message for those who disapprove: “I don’t get bullied. If you don’t like it, kiss my a*.”*
From Playboy to Baywatch Fame
D’Errico, originally from Alabama, shot to fame when she appeared as a centerfold in the September 1995 issue of Playboy. A year later, she joined the cast of Baywatch as lifeguard Donna Marco, running the beaches alongside Pamela Anderson between 1996 and 1998. Both women, notably, were married at different times to rock icons from Mötley Crüe.
Although her Hollywood career didn’t produce the leading roles she once hoped for, D’Errico has found a new stage—social media. Today, she’s built a massive following, with millions of fans (largely men) who can’t get enough of her sultry snapshots.
The Criticism: “Too Old for Bikinis”
Despite the praise, not everyone is cheering her on. D’Errico has dealt with a steady stream of online criticism, especially from women who argue she should “cover up” at her age. The backlash boiled over on July 4, 2022, when she posted a video in a skimpy red, white, and blue bikini while “God Bless the U.S.A.” played in the background.
While her male fans flooded the comments with admiration, D’Errico said the post also sparked a wave of negativity. Days later, she doubled down, posting another bikini photo with a defiant caption:
“Quite a few women complained about the 4th of July video… because they thought I was ‘classier than that’ and ‘too old to wear a bikini’ and, my favorite, ‘desperate.’ Let me tell you something that might surprise you. I can actually wear and do literally whatever I want.”
She ended the caption with her now-famous mic-drop: “Here is me in a bikini squatting on a coffee table.”
Fighting Against Social Media “Censorship”
D’Errico claims that critics aren’t just leaving comments—they’re also flagging her photos in an effort to get them taken down. According to her, Instagram has repeatedly removed some of her sexier posts due to mass reporting campaigns.
“It’s not nice to go on people’s accounts reporting perfectly fine photos… it’s bullying,” she wrote in one now-deleted post. “Donna doesn’t get bullied.”
Even when her content was “shadow banned”—hidden from wider visibility—she refused to back down. Instead, she re-uploaded the removed photos, including one striking shot of herself straddling a pumpkin in thigh-high boots and a black corset.
“There’s nothing wrong with these photos,” she wrote. “Hater women: Feel better about yourselves. Build up other women. In doing so, you can shine, too. Failing that, I guess you can simply kiss my ass.”
Still Bold, Still Bikini-Clad
Despite the ongoing tug-of-war with critics and content moderators, D’Errico continues to embrace her unapologetic approach. On June 27, she shared another sizzling bikini photo with a short, sharp caption:
“Yes, still wearing bikinis. Any objections?”
Her message is clear—Donna D’Errico isn’t slowing down, and she’s not asking for permission.
