Demi Moore Shares Heartfelt Update on Bruce Willis’ Health After Visiting Him

At the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival on October 13, actress Demi Moore accepted the Career Achievement in Acting Award—and used the moment to speak openly about her ex-husband Bruce Willis and his ongoing health battle.

Moore, 61, revealed that Willis, now 69, remains “stable” as he continues to face frontotemporal dementia (FTD), a degenerative brain disease that followed his earlier diagnosis of aphasia.

Choosing Acceptance and Presence

Addressing the reality of life with such a diagnosis, Moore spoke with honesty and grace:

“The disease is what the disease is, and you have to deeply accept that.”

She acknowledged the difficulty of the situation but emphasized that acceptance has allowed her and the family to cherish what truly matters—being present. “There is beauty in focusing on the moment and appreciating what we still have,” she added.

Moore shared that she had recently visited Willis with her granddaughter Louetta, the daughter of Rumer Willis. That visit, she said, reminded her of the importance of treasuring even the smallest exchanges:

“Being able to share with whatever we have, for however long we have it.”

A Lasting Bond Beyond Marriage

Though Demi Moore and Bruce Willis divorced in 2000, their connection has endured. The pair share three daughters—Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah—and Moore has remained a steadfast presence in Willis’ life as he and his family navigate the challenges of his illness. Their enduring closeness has been a source of admiration for fans, who see in them a rare example of lasting respect and devotion beyond marriage.

A Career of Resilience

While reflecting on her Hollywood journey during her award acceptance, Moore expressed gratitude for the career that has spanned decades:

“It feels like lifetimes. Thank God I kept getting opportunities to get better.”

Her words highlighted not only the resilience of her professional path but also the strength she continues to show in her personal life—facing heartbreaking realities with dignity, love, and hope.
