Our Prayers Are With Donald Trump and His Family After a Heartbreaking Loss – Full Story in the Comments

Veteran broadcaster and political commentator Lou Dobbs has died at the age of 78. A familiar face to millions of viewers, Dobbs built a long and often controversial career, from his early days at CNN to his later years at Fox News.

Former President Donald Trump paid tribute on Truth Social, calling Dobbs “an incredible talent, a loyal friend, and a truly gifted journalist and communicator.” Trump added: “Lou was one of a kind, and he loved America deeply.”

Dobbs first entered broadcasting in the 1970s at KBLU radio in Arizona before moving into television with NBC’s King-TV in Seattle. In 1980, he became one of CNN’s founding anchors and gained prominence as host of the business program Moneyline.

He left CNN in 2009 following backlash over his coverage of illegal immigration, later moving to Fox Business, where his show Lou Dobbs Tonight ran from 2010 until 2021.

Dobbs leaves behind a legacy that shaped decades of American media—admired by some, criticized by others, but undeniably influential.
