Putin Extends Invitation to Trump for Moscow Talks After Alaska Meeting

In a striking gesture on the global stage, Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited U.S. President Donald Trump to continue peace negotiations in Moscow, following their recent high-level summit in Alaska.

Though no formal agreements were signed during the Alaskan talks, both leaders framed the discussions as a step forward. President Trump hailed the meeting as “very productive,” while Putin emphasized its “practical outcomes.”

Closing the joint press conference with a symbolic flourish, Putin remarked, “Next time in Moscow.” Trump, with a characteristic grin, acknowledged potential controversy back home but left the door open, suggesting he was not dismissing the idea.

Reactions across Europe surfaced quickly. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán praised the summit, declaring it had made the world “a safer place,” as speculation grows about whether the dialogue could lead to meaningful progress in ending the war in Ukraine.
