Michael J. Fox Shares Emotional Health Update After 30-Year Battle With Parkinson’s

Beloved actor and longtime Parkinson’s disease advocate Michael J. Fox has issued a deeply moving update on his ongoing health journey, nearly thirty years after first being diagnosed.

In a recent candid interview, Fox opened up about the growing physical toll the disease has taken on him, admitting, “It’s becoming more of a challenge.” Now in his 60s, Fox revealed he recently underwent spinal surgery to remove a non-cancerous tumor that impacted his ability to walk—an ordeal that led to multiple bone fractures during recovery.

Despite the complications, Fox remains clear-eyed about the future. “You don’t die from Parkinson’s,” he explained. “You die with it.” In a sobering moment, he added, “I’m not going to make it to 80.”

Fox’s courageous story is featured in his new documentary titled “Still,” which offers an intimate look at the severe pain, involuntary tremors, and day-to-day struggles he faces. Yet, through it all, the “Back to the Future” star maintains his trademark resilience and humor.

“I’m not going anywhere,” he said with determination—proof that even as the disease progresses, his spirit remains unbroken.
