11 Stabbed at Walmart — But One Armed Civilian Brought the Attack to a Halt

Michigan – July 27, 2025: A routine afternoon at a Walmart in Michigan turned into a nightmare when a stabbing rampage left 11 people injured — until one shopper stepped forward and stopped the violence.

According to authorities, an unidentified man began randomly stabbing customers and employees inside the store, triggering chaos as people fled for safety. But while most ran, one man chose to stand his ground.

That man was Derrick Perry.

Perry, who has a legal permit to carry a concealed weapon, drew his firearm and confronted the suspect head-on. Witnesses say he issued firm commands and held the attacker at gunpoint, maintaining control of the scene until police arrived and detained the suspect.

Crucially, not a single bullet was fired — and thanks to Perry’s decisive intervention, no further injuries occurred after he stepped in.

“He stayed calm and took charge,” one eyewitness recalled. “You could tell he wasn’t thinking about himself — he just acted. That guy is a hero.”

Paramedics treated several victims at the scene while others were rushed to nearby hospitals. Authorities confirmed that some remain in critical condition, but also emphasized that the toll could have been much higher if not for Perry’s courage.

Law enforcement officials commended his bravery, saying his actions “undoubtedly prevented more loss of life.”

The attack has once again sparked heated debate across the country about self-defense laws, the role of armed civilians, and how everyday people can make a difference in moments of crisis.

Derrick Perry may not have set out to make headlines — but by risking his own life to protect others, he became the kind of hero no one forgets.
