Influencer Shells Out $85K After Botched Bum Implants Fall Out Mid-Workout
A London-based influencer’s pursuit of the perfect body has cost her over $85,000—after a cosmetic surgery disaster left her literally falling apart in the gym.
Back in 2019, Chelsea Robinson flew from the UK to the Dominican Republic, lured by glowing reviews of the country’s cosmetic surgery clinics. She hoped to enhance her figure with gluteal implants, expecting the transformation to boost her confidence and career.
But her dream makeover quickly turned into a nightmare.
Not long after returning home, Chelsea was exercising when she experienced something terrifying. While performing squats at the gym, she felt a strange sensation in her leg—followed by the horrifying realization that one of her implants had begun to come out.
Speaking on Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection, the 29-year-old recounted the moment in detail. “I felt something shift. Then my leg went numb, and I realized something was hanging. It was my implant,” she revealed.
What happened was worse than she could have imagined: the implant had forced its way out from beneath her muscle. Chelsea called the ordeal “absolutely horrendous,” and admitted she deeply regrets undergoing the procedure.
“If I had known what was going to happen, I never would have done it,” she told Olivia. “It’s easily been the worst experience of my life.”
To repair the extensive damage, Chelsea has spent over $85,000 on corrective surgeries. The costs have added up quickly, but she says the trauma far outweighed the price tag.
Despite the setback, the social media personality hasn’t sworn off plastic surgery altogether. She’s already undergone four separate breast procedures, which began when she was just 18. Altogether, those surgeries have added nearly $10,000 to her total cosmetic expenses.
“I booked my first boob job the moment I turned 18,” she said, explaining that her early entry into the glamour modeling world influenced her decisions. Feeling pressure to conform to industry standards, she chased a curvier figure over the years—including implants weighing close to a kilogram each in her most recent surgery.
“I started doing lingerie modeling, and I just didn’t feel like I stacked up against the others. I had barely an A-cup. I didn’t feel good enough.”
Chelsea admitted that, when looking back at older photos, she often felt unattractive. “I hated the way I looked back then. No shape, no curves—just plain.”
To date, she estimates her cosmetic surgery expenses have topped £100,000—about $135,000—over the past 11 years.
She also acknowledged that undergoing cosmetic procedures can become a psychological cycle. “There’s always something new to fix or improve. It’s addictive—like a rush. Once you start, it’s hard to stop.”
